WELCOME to the Warriors
Welcome to the Warriors family. This is more than a team—it is a community committed to pursuing excellence in faith, character, relationships, and competition. Baseball and softball are simply the platform. Our true mission is to prepare one another for life, using the gifts God has entrusted to each of us.
TEAM GOALS:
Build brotherhood, sisterhood, and genuine fellowship.
Develop the mind, body, and soul through intentional growth. Establish structure, routines, discipline, and consistency.
Grow in our faith and strengthen our relationship with Christ.
Learn to compete with excellence, humility, and integrity.
Manage our emotions with wisdom and self-control.
Develop mental toughness, stamina, perseverance, and resilience.
Huddle around a shared mission, knowing we are stronger together than apart.
Choose love, sacrifice, humility, grace, and forgiveness daily.
Steward the gifts and opportunities God has entrusted to each of us.
Embrace our seat at the table, while encouraging others to embrace theirs.
Exchange our gifts and talents freely, knowing each person brings something valuable to the team.
Lift up, encourage, and elevate one another both on and off the field.
Communicate with honesty, respect, and purpose.
Develop servant-hearted leadership that places others before ourselves.
Ask, “How can I help?” before asking, “How can I benefit?”
Prepare for life after the game, knowing athletics are only one chapter of God’s greater calling.
Be ready for the next stage—high school, college, careers, marriage, parenthood, and serving our communities.
Be a light wherever God places us, representing Christ with our words, attitudes, and actions.
Continue growing spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally every season.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14 NKJV
OUR COMMITMENT:
We choose obedience over convenience.
Discipline over excuses.
Service over self.
Unity over division.
The imperishable crown over the perishable crown.
We believe every player, coach, and family has been given unique gifts. When those gifts are shared instead of hidden, everyone grows stronger. We are not competing against one another; we are completing one another.
Our goal is to leave every practice, game, conversation, and season better than we found it. We want to become people of strong faith, sound minds, humble hearts, courageous leadership, and unwavering love.
As Scripture reminds us:
“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it… Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.”
— 1 Corinthians 9:24–25 (NKJV)
Welcome to the Warriors!
Let’s pursue Christ together, compete with purpose, love without condition, steward our gifts faithfully, and leave a legacy that reaches far beyond the game.
ATTENDANCE & COMMITMENT:
At Warriors, every player is held to a high standard of commitment when it comes to practices, games, tournaments, and team events. We intentionally keep our rosters smaller so each player receives meaningful playing time, quality instruction, and opportunities to grow. Because of that, every player’s attendance matters. Being present consistently is essential for developing the physical, mental, and technical skills needed to compete at a high level. Just as important, it allows us to build trust, chemistry, communication, and unity as a team.
Attendance Expectations
Be on time for all practices, games, tournaments, and team functions.
If you will miss a practice or game, notify your coach as early as possible by phone or text.
Please do not post absences in TeamSnap. We ask that all attendance communication be made directly with your coach.
Excused absences for school sports or other in-season activities should be discussed with the coaching staff ahead of time.
We value family commitments and strongly encourage multi-sport athletes. Communication simply allows us to prepare and serve the team well.
Players must be at the field and ready to warm up one hour prior to a game, unless told otherwise by the coach. CALL OR TEXT YOUR COACH IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE RUNNING LATE, NOT TEAMSNAP.
Each family should review their schedule and provide a list of UNAVAILABLE DATES (Graduations/Major family events/vacations) prior to the start of the season to their coaches and should offer timely updates as needed. Family vacations should not be scheduled until the league/tournament schedule is set by your coach. Each team has a limited roster, so knowing each player's availability helps the coach field a full team when scheduling games and tournaments.
It is very important to notify the coach 48 hours prior to a practice or game if a problem has arisen and the player cannot attend. At that time, they need to be sure to confirm the date and time of the next practice/game with the coach. If these requirements are not met, we will discuss an action plan with parents.
Team First
When you commit to the Warriors, our team becomes your primary baseball or softball commitment. Although School baseball/softball take priority and we want each player to soak up that environment. During that time we will plan accordingly. Practice schedules and tournament dates are communicated well in advance so families can plan accordingly.
We understand there may be occasional opportunities to “pick up” with another team. While there may be unique circumstances where this is appropriate, it should remain the exception—not the expectation. If participating elsewhere creates scheduling conflicts, affects our team, or presents a conflict of interest, we do not recommend it. Schedules may occasionally change, additional practices may be added, or opportunities may arise that require flexibility. Warriors events will always take priority.
Why Practice Matters
Practice is where our coaches evaluate players, develop skills, and prepare the team to compete together. It is where chemistry is built and where every player learns how to trust and play alongside their teammates.
While a player may receive only a handful of at-bats or defensive opportunities during a tournament weekend, practice provides significantly more development. Players can expect to receive 100–200 quality repetitions during practice through offensive work, defensive drills, situational play, live competition, and game-like scenarios. Those repetitions are what produce confidence, consistency, and growth.
Our goal isn’t simply to develop great individual players—it is to develop a connected team that understands one another, communicates well, and competes as one unit.
Additional Opportunities
There may be times when players have opportunities within the Warriors organization to play up or down an age division based on development needs or roster availability. These opportunities will always be communicated and coordinated by our coaching staff.
We believe extra repetitions can be valuable, but they should always support—not replace—the commitment made to your Warriors team.
When we consistently practice together, compete together, communicate together, and grow together, we become far more than a collection of talented players—we become one team, pursuing one mission.
TEAM FEES & POLICIES
Our goal is to provide every player with an exceptional experience while maintaining a program that is organized, sustainable, and focused on development. Team dues help cover the resources, facilities, equipment, and opportunities that allow our players to grow throughout the season.
Monthly Team Dues:
Monthly dues are $100 per player.
Half months are prorated to $65.
Warriors operate one month ahead on dues. Example: A player joining in August would pay:
August prorated: $65
September: $100
Total Due: $165
Monthly invoices will be sent out, and payments are expected to be made promptly. Payment methods are paypal sent via friends and family, check made to Warriors Baseball or Warriors Softball or Cash in a clearly marked sealed envelope. These will be the only forms of payment accepted.
As a rostered member of the team, monthly dues remain the responsibility of each family regardless of attendance at practices, games, or tournaments. Team expenses continue throughout the season, and dues allow the program to operate consistently for every player.
Communication
If your family experiences financial hardship or is unable to make a payment on time, please contact Matt or Tessa Brown immediately. We understand that seasons of life can be challenging, and our desire is never for finances alone to prevent a player from participating. Honest, proactive communication allows us to work together toward a solution.
Tournament & Team Expenses
Tournament entry fees and team expenses are shared equally among all rostered players.
Examples include:
Team Insurance
Tournament entry fees
Game balls
Lineup cards
Team boards
Shared equipment and other necessary team expenses
By sharing these costs evenly, every family contributes to creating a quality experience for the entire team.
Coaching
Non-Parent Head Coaches will have out of town hotels and daily per diems split equally among all rostered players.
Uniforms
New players may choose to split uniform payments over the first two months if needed. Fill-in uniform pieces can be purchased at any time.
The Armory Performance Training
Each Warriors team will receive one Armory Strength & Speed session per week as part of the program.
The cost of Armory training is not included in monthly dues and $150 is split evenly among all rostered players as a separate team expense.
We believe this is one of the greatest differences in player development. Strength, speed, mobility, coordination, injury prevention, and overall athleticism all play a significant role in long-term success.
Players are encouraged to add one or two additional individual sessions each week whenever possible to maximize development.
Stewards Sports Team Access
Families may also choose to add the $25 monthly Stewards Sports Team Access Membership.
This provides designated team access during scheduled evenings throughout the week where players can continue developing together outside of normal practice.
These sessions may include:
Hitting & Fielding
Live at-bats
Speed, Agility & Strength work
Team competitions
Extra cage work and repetitions
It also allows days & times during the week for players to have facility access to work on their own.
The purpose is to create additional opportunities for teammates to grow together while building chemistry and confidence.
Fundraising
Fundraising is an important part of helping reduce costs and provide additional opportunities for our teams.
Individual Fundraisers
Individual fundraisers are optional. Funds raised will directly benefit your player’s individual account or can be used to help another Warriors player and may be applied toward:
Monthly dues
Uniforms
Tournament fees
Team Fundraisers
Team fundraisers require 100% team participation and benefit the entire team by helping offset expenses such as:
Tournament costs
Equipment
Team needs
Special events
Examples include:
Team Calendars
Blue & Gold Sales
Dugout Banners
Super Bowl Squares
March Madness Brackets
Double Good Popcorn
Poker Tournaments
Cornhole Tournaments
Raffles/Auctions
We are always open to new fundraising ideas. If you would like to coordinate or suggest a fundraiser, please contact Tessa Brown.
Refund Policy
All dues, tournament fees, uniform payments, fundraising proceeds applied, and other fees paid to the Warriors organization are non-refundable, without exception.
WARRIORS SPORTSMANSHIP
Every player and every person representing a Warriors family—including parents, siblings, grandparents, relatives, and guests—is expected to display sportsmanship, respect, and integrity at all team events. All families are expected to follow the rules and standards established by the Warriors organization, facility, league, tournament directors, and umpires.
The Warriors maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding unacceptable behavior including but not limited to:
Unsportsmanlike conduct
Abusive or disrespectful behavior toward officials
Harassment of players, coaches, or spectators
Profanity or inappropriate language
Fighting or threatening behavior
Actions that negatively impact the culture and reputation of the organization
Any behavior deemed inappropriate may result in immediate removal from the event.
Repeated incidents involving an athlete’s family members or guests may result in the athlete being dismissed from the Warriors organization.
Our desire is not to discipline people—it is to protect the culture we are building. We want our players to compete in an environment marked by respect, humility, encouragement, accountability, and love, where every family can enjoy the experience together.
GAME DAY EXPECTATIONS
Our coaches are committed to creating an environment where players can learn, compete, and grow with confidence. During games, we ask parents, family members, and guests to help us provide that environment by allowing the coaches to coach and the players to play.
Sideline Coaching
Sideline coaching by parents, family members, or guests is not permitted.
While we know every comment is intended to help, multiple voices often create confusion for players, especially when instructions differ from what the coaching staff is teaching or calling during the game. It can also unintentionally undermine the coach’s authority in front of the team.
The greatest gift you can give your player during competition is the freedom to play confidently without receiving instruction from multiple directions.
Dugout Expectations
The dugout is reserved for players and coaches during games. Parents and family members should not enter the dugout unless specifically requested by a coach or in the event of an emergency.
Players should remain in the dugout unless they have been given permission by a coach. We do not allow players to wander around the ballpark during games, as we want them fully engaged, supporting their teammates, and ready when their opportunity comes.
Encouraging Your Player
We encourage families to cheer, celebrate effort, and support every player on the team.
However, please refrain from:
Shouting instructions to players on the field or in the dugout.
Questioning coaching decisions during the game.
Correcting mechanics or strategy from the stands.
Calling players over to the fence while the game is in progress.
If you observe something you believe the coaching staff may have missed, please wait until an appropriate time and respectfully communicate with the head coach after the game or at another scheduled time.
Injuries & Player Care
We understand there may be situations involving illness, injury, or emergencies where a parent’s assistance is needed.
Please trust that our coaches are actively observing the game and the well-being of every player. If additional assistance is needed, a coach will immediately notify the parent or guardian. Our priority is always the health, safety, and well-being of every athlete.
One Voice, One Team
Our goal is to provide players with clear communication, consistent instruction, and an environment where they can learn without unnecessary distractions. When coaches, players, and families work together with one voice and one mission, players gain confidence, teams develop stronger chemistry, and everyone enjoys a better experience.
Thank you for trusting our coaching staff and partnering with us as we invest in your child both on and off the field.
WARRIORS CODE OF CONDUCT
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to establish clear expectations for everyone involved in the Warriors organization. These standards extend beyond our players to include coaches, parents, family members, and guests who attend practices, games, tournaments, and official team functions.
Our mission is to provide a positive, safe, and Christ-centered environment where every player can grow in faith, character, relationships, and athletic ability. Creating that environment requires everyone to live by the same principles of respect, humility, integrity, responsibility, and selflessness.
We believe our players learn far more from what they see than what they hear. As adults, we must lead by example. The way we communicate, respond to adversity, treat officials, encourage teammates, and interact with one another will shape the culture our players experience every day.
Our Commitment
As Warriors families, we commit to:
Honor God in our words, attitudes, and actions.
Treat players, coaches, officials, opponents, and spectators with dignity and respect.
Encourage rather than criticize.
Choose humility over pride and unity over division.
Serve the team before serving ourselves.
Protect the culture of the Warriors organization.
Represent our families, teammates, and organization with integrity both on and off the field.
Communication
Healthy communication builds healthy teams.
If you have a concern, disagreement, question, or simply need clarification, we ask that you communicate directly with your coach or with the organizational director, Matt Brown.
We respectfully ask families to avoid discussing frustrations with other parents before first speaking with the appropriate coach.
Many conflicts begin with assumptions, incomplete information, or misunderstandings. Direct conversations often provide context, explain the “why” behind decisions, and allow situations to be resolved quickly before unnecessary division develops. Our goal is always understanding before assumption.
Protecting Our Culture
As families who spend countless hours together throughout the year, we all share the responsibility of protecting the culture we are building.
Gossip, complaining, grumbling, negative conversations, and divisive behavior weaken trust and create an unhealthy environment for both players and families.
Instead, we encourage:
Honest conversations.
Grace-filled correction.
Respectful disagreement.
Forgiveness.
Encouragement.
Unity.
We want every family to feel welcomed, valued, and supported throughout their time with the Warriors.
Open Door
No organization is perfect, and neither are we. We are continually learning, evaluating, and striving to provide the very best experience possible for every player and family while remaining faithful to our mission.
If there is something you believe we can improve, or if you have concerns about coaching, communication, organization, or any aspect of the program, we genuinely want to hear from you. We ask only that those conversations happen respectfully, honestly, and directly.
Please know that bringing concerns forward in the appropriate manner will never be held against your player. We value transparency because healthy communication strengthens relationships, builds trust, and helps us continue growing together.
One Family. One Mission.
The Warriors are more than a baseball or softball team. We are a family committed to serving one another, exchanging our gifts, carrying each other’s burdens, celebrating victories, learning through adversity, and pursuing something greater than wins and losses.
Together, we will strive to create an environment where every player is challenged, every family is valued, every coach serves with humility, and Christ remains at the center of all we do.
“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.”
— Ephesians 4:29 (NKJV)
“Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.”
— Romans 14:19 (NKJV)
WARRIORS PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
As a Warriors player, I understand that I represent not only myself, but also my family, my teammates, my coaches, and the Warriors organization. I will strive to honor each of them through my words, actions, attitude, and effort both on and off the field.
I Will…
1. Represent myself, my family, my team, and the Warriors organization with honesty, humility, integrity, and respect at all times.
2. Compete with a positive attitude regardless of the circumstances and encourage my teammates to do the same.
3. Support, encourage, and celebrate my teammates while placing the success of the team above my own.
4. Treat my teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and spectators with courtesy and respect.
5. Respect the authority of game officials and never argue or show disrespect toward their decisions.
6. Display self-control by avoiding angry outbursts, poor sportsmanship, or actions that distract from the team.
7. Never direct negative comments, taunts, or disrespect toward opponents, officials, teammates, coaches, or spectators.
8. Refrain from using profanity, vulgar language, offensive gestures, or inappropriate behavior under any circumstance.
9. Never become physically or verbally aggressive, intimidating, or hostile toward another person.
10. Resolve conflict with maturity, respect, and open communication.
11. Never possess or use tobacco products, nicotine products, illegal drugs, or any other prohibited substances during practices, games, tournaments, or team functions.
12. Never possess or consume alcohol during any team event, including games, practices, tournaments, travel, hotels, or other Warriors functions.
13. Never possess or bring weapons to any Warriors event, including practices, games, tournaments, travel, hotels, or team functions.
14. Arrive prepared by wearing the appropriate uniform and equipment and presenting myself in a manner that reflects the Warriors organization.
15. Take responsibility for my own equipment while respecting and caring for team equipment, dugouts, locker rooms, practice facilities, hotels, and all other facilities we use.
16. Leave every field, dugout, facility, and hotel better than I found it by serving others and helping clean up whenever needed.
17. Use social media responsibly. I will never post negative, disrespectful, or inappropriate comments about teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, organizations, or families. If I have a concern, I will seek clarity by communicating directly with my coach rather than making assumptions or expressing frustrations publicly.
18. Understand that playing time is earned through preparation, attendance, attitude, effort, coachability, and performance in both practices and games. I will control what I can control by giving my best every day.
My Commitment
I understand that wearing a Warriors uniform is both a privilege and a responsibility.
I choose to be coachable.
I choose to be disciplined.
I choose to serve before being served.
I choose to encourage rather than criticize.
I choose to compete with humility and honor.
I choose to pursue excellence in my mind, body, and soul, remembering that the person I become is far more important than the statistics I achieve.
“Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”
— Colossians 3:23 (NKJV)
WARRIORS COACHES CODE OF CONDUCT
As a Warriors coach, I understand that I am called to be more than an instructor of the game. I am a mentor, leader, servant, and example to every player and family entrusted to my care. My words, actions, and decisions should reflect the mission and values of the Warriors organization both on and off the field.
I Will…
1. Treat every player, parent, coach, official, and spectator with respect, fairness, dignity, and love, remembering to be “swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath.” (James 1:19)
2. Promote fair play, integrity, humility, and outstanding sportsmanship in every practice, game, tournament, and team event.
3. Never place winning above the physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual well-being of my players.
4. Invest in every player by providing quality instruction, encouragement, accountability, and motivation so they can reach their fullest potential. I recognize that every athlete learns differently, and I will seek to coach each player according to what best helps them grow—whether that requires firmness, gentleness, patience, challenge, encouragement, correction, or simply giving them space. Above all, I will coach with love.
5. Lead by example through my appearance, preparation, attitude, self-discipline, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.
6. Foster an environment of honest, respectful, and open communication with players, parents, and fellow coaches. I will remain approachable, transparent, and willing to listen, always leading conversations with humility and a desire to understand before being understood.
7. Protect the health, safety, and well-being of every athlete entrusted to my care and never engage in behavior that would place them at unnecessary risk.
8. Refrain from profanity, abusive language, harassment, gossip, criticism, or conversations that divide players, parents, coaches, or families. I will use my words to build up rather than tear down.
9. Address concerns with players or parents privately, respectfully, and away from other players or families. When emotions are high, I will exercise wisdom by allowing appropriate time before having difficult conversations whenever possible, seeking restoration rather than reaction.
10. Never become hostile or resort to intimidation, threats, or violence toward players, parents, coaches, officials, tournament staff, or spectators.
11. Never use tobacco or nicotine products during practices, games, tournaments, or official Warriors events.
12. Never consume alcohol or be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs during practices, games, tournaments, travel, or any official Warriors function.
13. Be punctual, prepared, organized, and committed to serving others. I will communicate faithfully, follow through on my responsibilities, and lead with a servant’s heart.
My Commitment
I understand that players will often remember how I made them feel more than the wins and losses.
I will coach beyond the scoreboard.
I will develop people before players.
I will choose patience over frustration.
I will choose encouragement over criticism.
I will choose service over recognition.
I will pursue unity over division.
I will steward every opportunity to influence the lives of those God has entrusted to me, knowing that my greatest legacy will not be championships won, but lives impacted.
“Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers… not as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.”
— 1 Peter 5:2–3 (NKJV)
WARRIORS PARENT & GUARDIAN CODE OF CONDUCT
As a Warriors parent or guardian, I understand that I play a vital role in the culture of this organization. My words, actions, and attitude influence not only my own child, but every player, family, and coach within the program.
I commit to partnering with the coaching staff to help create a positive, Christ-centered environment where players can grow in faith, character, relationships, and athletic ability.
I Will…
1. Conduct myself responsibly and respectfully at all practices, games, tournaments, team travel, and Warriors events.
2. Accept responsibility for the behavior and actions of my family members and guests attending team functions.
3. Remember that the game belongs to the players. My role is to encourage, support, and enjoy watching them compete and grow.
4. Refrain from coaching my child or any other player during practices or games unless specifically asked to do so by the coaching staff.
5. Be a positive example by demonstrating humility, integrity, encouragement, and outstanding sportsmanship while treating players, coaches, officials, opponents, and spectators with dignity and respect.
6. Never use profanity, insulting language, harassment, intimidation, or abusive behavior toward anyone.
7. Refrain from consuming alcohol within the boundaries of any venue unless permitted and sold by the facility. If alcohol is available, I will exercise wisdom, moderation, and self-control while representing the Warriors organization.
8. Never become hostile or resort to threats, intimidation, or violence toward players, parents, coaches, officials, or spectators.
9. Never engage in behavior that places the health, safety, or well-being of any player at risk.
10. Refrain from arguing with game officials, opposing spectators, or other families. I will not yell instructions or criticism toward my child or any player during games. I trust the coaching staff to coach the team. If I observe something concerning, I will respectfully communicate it to the head coach at the appropriate time.
11. If I have questions or concerns regarding coaching decisions, methods, or team matters, I will communicate directly with the head coach in a respectful manner and honor the mandatory 48-hour cooling-off period before requesting a meeting or discussion.
I understand that conversations held in front of players or among other parents can create confusion, resentment, and division. Instead of venting or making assumptions, I will seek understanding by communicating directly with the coaching staff. I also recognize that coaches are continually learning and striving to provide the best possible experience for every player and family.
12. If I am asked by a tournament official, facility staff member, or coach to leave an event, I will do so respectfully and immediately.
13. Make every effort to keep team dues and financial commitments current. If financial hardship arises, I will communicate openly with Matt or Tessa Brown so that solutions can be discussed together.
14. Understand that consistent attendance and punctuality are important to my child’s development and to the success of the team. I will communicate absences as early as possible.
15. Understand that the Warriors are a competitive organization and that playing time is earned—not guaranteed.
Playing time is determined by the coaching staff through evaluation of practice habits, game performance, attendance, attitude, effort, coachability, preparation, and the needs of the team. Statistics alone do not determine opportunity.
We highly value:
Coachability
A positive attitude
Consistent effort
Hustle
Being a great teammate
Emotional maturity
Attention to detail
Trustworthiness
A willingness to learn and serve the team
16. Understand that my child’s playing time will never be affected by respectful communication from me. However, behavior that consistently creates division, distracts from the team, undermines the coaching staff, or moves the organization away from its mission may result in disciplinary action or removal from the program.
17. Be every player’s biggest fan. I will celebrate the success, growth, and development of every athlete on our roster, not just my own child. I understand that when the team grows stronger, every player benefits.
18. Reject gossip, complaining, cliques, and divisive conversations. I will pursue unity, choose grace, assume the best in others, and love my neighbors as we walk through this season together.
19. Honor the commitment my family has made to the Warriors organization throughout the Fall and Spring seasons. I understand that my commitment affects not only my own child, but every teammate, coach, and family on the roster.
There will be challenges, disagreements, adversity, and moments that require patience and understanding. Rather than walking away at the first sign of difficulty, I will seek healthy communication, pursue reconciliation, and view those moments as opportunities for growth for my child, my family, and the organization.
Our Family Commitment
As Warriors families, we choose unity over division.
We choose encouragement over criticism.
We choose communication over assumptions.
We choose humility over pride.
We choose service over self.
We choose to protect the culture so that every player has the opportunity to grow, compete, and experience the game in an environment marked by love, respect, accountability, and faith.
“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.”
— Philippians 2:3 (NKJV)
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NKJV)

Warriors Welcome Packet
